Gateway Technical College

Gateway will be running an emergency test the week of August 13

During the afternoon of  August 17, 2011 Gateway is involved in a TEST of our emergency response plan.

A Gateway Emergency Response Team has been refining and rehearsing its emergency response plan. This site will be a key communications tool with the Gateway communities including students, faculty and staff and community members.

The safety and security of students and staff is our priority at Gateway Technical College.

• Security officers are on duty at most Gateway locations.
• Emergency plans to deal with a wide variety of issues are in place or under development.
• Fire drills are held periodically throughout the academic year. Everyone must leave the buildings during a drill.
• Gateway’s “AlertMe” emergency notification system will alert subscribers with a text message or an e-mail in the event of a dangerous situation occurring at one of the Gateway locations. Students are strongly encouraged to sign up for this service each academic year.
